Los Jaichackers, Juan Luna Avín, Eamon Ore Giron and Julio Morales rummage in the streets and street markets to see what is behind the music industry as we know it. The way musical culture is absorbed, interpreted and redone in other latitudes. Aurie Ramírez´ own interpretation of the band Kiss is ludic and lead us to a world inhabited by this androgynous glam characters. A different world is created by Brad Kahlhamer but this one recall a peyote trip, oniric figures around desertic landscape. As a musician, we are also presenting Kahlhamer´s latest music video. The Perro callejero series by Moris is composed by these intriguing sculptures made out of rubber, studs and spikes that appear to be ... garments but they happen to be unwearable. Ornamentation, distinctiveness and defensiveness within urban groups. For over four decades, Cal Schenkel has done drawings and paintings for numerous album covers, mainly for Frank Zappa and his bands that has become legendary such as We Are Only In It For The Money, among many others. Legendary music producer, manager and artist, Arturo Vega has accomplished an extensive body of work. For Metal Coyote, Vega created this installation that resume his thoughts on the rock´n roll scene after devoting his life to it for more than 40 years. Vega is the mind behind The Ramones and the creator of the most reproduced musical band logo worldwide.

Los Jaichackers (spanglish for The Hijackers) is a collaboration between LA artist Eamon Ore Giron and San Francisco artist Julio Morales. They produce music, film, sculpture, installation, performance and curate public programs. They have shown at UCLA Hammer Museum, LA; the San Diego Museum of Contemporary Art; MUCA Roma, Mexico City; El Museo del Barrio, New York and Museo Tamayo, Mexico City among others.

Brad Kahlhamer (Tucson, 1956) Solo shows include Bowery Nation at The Aldridge Contemporary Art Museum, CT; Brad Kahlhamer, Anne de Villepoix Gallery, Paris; Girls & Skulls, Deitch Projects. Group shows at Ikon Gallery, England; P.S.1 MoMA, New York; Neuberger Museum of Art, New York and SF MoMA, among others. Lives in New York.

Juan Luna Avín (Mexico City, 1973) His work has been shown at such venues as Thomas Welton Art Gallery, Stanford; SF MoMA, San Francisco; Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, San Francisco; Casa del Lago, Mexico City and Ceroinspiración, Quito. Luna Avín is member of the San Francisco based DJ collective Club Unicornio who play underground, kitschy and experimental music from Latin America. Performances include the 'Also I Like to Rock' summer series at the UCLA Hammer Museum. He holds an MFA in Art Practice from Stanford University and a BFA in Painting from the San Francisco Art Institute.

Julio Morales (Tijuana, 1966) Artist, educator and curator, Morales´work has been exhibited at the UCLA HAmmer Museum, Los Angeles; the San Diego Museum of Contemporary Art; Fototeca de La Habana, Cuba; Peres Projects, Los Angeles, MUCA Roma, Mexico City and Tamayo Museum, Mexico City. He has also participated in Biennials such as Lyon 2009, Orange County 2008, Istanbul 2007, Singapore 2006 and the San Juan Triennial in Puerto Rico in 2008 and 2004. He was appointed curator at the ASU Art Museum in Phoenix in 2012.

Moris (Mexico City, 1978) Israel Meza Moreno, Moris, has exhibited at Geffen Contemporary, Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles, as part of the Los Angeles Nomadic Division; Museo Experimental El Eco, Mexico City; 9th Havana Biennial; MUSAC, Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de León y Castilla, Spain; Bass Museum, Miami Beach; MUAC, Museo Universitario de Arte Contemporáneo, Mexico City and the International Triennial of Architecture, Lisbon. Collections include ASU Art Museum, Arizona; Jumex Collection, Mexico City; MOCA, Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles and Ella Cisneros Fontanals, CIFO, Miami.

Eamon Ore Giron (Tucson, 1973) He received an MFA from the UCLA, University of California, Loa Angeles, and a BFA from San Francisco Art Institute. His work has been shown at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, San Francisco; MUCA Roma, Mexico City; Los Angeles County Museum of Art and Tamayo Museum, Mexico City. He is also DJ Lengua.

Aurie Ramírez (Sangley, Phillippines, 1962) Aurie´s work has been inspired by her interest in the Adams Family, and the rock band Kiss. Most recently Aurie has exhibited her work in shows at White Columns and Gavin Brown´s enterprise, New York; Jack Hanley Gallery, Los Angeles; ABCD in Paris; Collection l´Art Brut, Lausanne and Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, San Francisco.

Cal Schenkel (Willow Grove, Pennsylvania, 1947) Schenkel specializes in album cover designs, he was the main visual collaborator fro Frank Zappa and the creator of Zappa´s most well-known album covers but also for other artists like Tom Waits, Tim Buckley and Captain Beefheart (Trout Mask Replica album, for which the Captain had to pose for two hours wearing the carp´s head as a mask). Schenkel´s artwork, influenced at first by the comic strip Krazy Cat and Mad Magazine, had by then developed its own 'primitive' 'ragged' surrealist style.

Arturo Vega (Chihuahua, 1947) Vega was, for 22 years, the artistic director, guardian and very close friend to the Ramones, creating not only their logo which later came to be the flag for the punk movement, but also many of their album covers and stage designs. Parallel to this, Vega produced a solid body of work that includes paintings influenced by a series of images taken from various media publications as well as fragments of the band lyrics, resulting in pieces that are both mystical and insulting.
