Descripción de la Exposición

We have exhibited Felix Anaut's abstract expressionist works since 2003, our first year. At that time his work was inspired by the Tauromaquia of Goya and Picasso, and Minotaurs. Since then we have regularly shown his works which have covered the Flight of the Fly (2003), Visage (2004), Movement and Form (2004), Itzal Aktiboa (Visual Poetry, 2006) and Vase (2008). Then in 2010 Felix Anaut started work on a series of music inspired works he called "Visual Music". This exploration has evolved and developed in the years since. We exhibited the "London Symphony" at the Fairfax Gallery that year, followed by the Zaragoza Symphony in Spain in 2011. This was accompanied by specially composed music by Gonzalo Alonso and an aria written by Felix Anaut. In October 2016 we exhibited his work in London at the Menier Gallery. This was "Synaethesia" which included works in collaboration with Lemn Sissay, and a video on ... which Dame Diana Rigg narrated Sissay's poetry over imagery of Anaut's paintings. You can see the short film here. During April this year we will exhibit "The Arundel Suite" a series of works on Khadi paper created for this exhibition, and some larger works from "The Donegal Suite", as well as several new ceramic pieces made in collaboration with Raimundo Abio. Felix Anaut As is the case in many years since 1977, Felix Anaut will exhibit throughout Europe this year. Recent/forthcoming exhibitions include a solo show at Koustak Gallery, Fources, France; "Projections" at the Flysch International Organ Festival, Deba, Basque Country, Spain; solo show at James Wray Gallery, Belfast. His work is in many public, private and corporate collections, most notably: The British Museum, Museum of Contemporary Art, Naples; Instituto Cervantes, Bordeaux; Fundacion Central Hispano, Madrid.
