Descripción de la Exposición

Gallery 111 is proud to present Ascânio MMM in his third solo exhibition. It has been 25 years since the artist last exhibited at 111, and it is with great pleasure that we present a selection of his most recent works - 8 wall panels in relief, and 3 sculptures - all of which are in aluminium. Aluminium has become the artist’s medium of choice over the last 20 years; he started using it in order to provide a more resistant working material for the production of his larger sculptures, for use in outdoor spaces. This new material led him to experiment with different methods of cutting as well as with colours, connectors and fittings, allowing him to extend the boundaries of normal use for this material.
