Galleries in Debate: Changes and Opportunities is the first professional meeting in Brazil aimed at the art market. Jonathan Neil, director of Sotheby's Institute of Art, will be flying from Los Angeles to open the event. He will be addressing his perspective on the current role and future challenges of galleries in an evolving art system. The second day begins with a speech by Rosangêla Rennó, Brazilian artist based in Rio de Janeiro. Taking as its starting point her work Menos-valia [auction] (2010), Rosângela proposes a critical reflection on the pricing of the work of art.
