Descripción de la Exposición

The Leal Rios Foundation announces the most recent project by João Biscainho - Mirror Drumming, a sound installation with drumming recordings by the percussionist Marco Franco. This project is presented in 5/5: 5 Artists, 5 Project Rooms, with Luísa Jacinto, Miguel Palma, Paula Prates and Teresa Braula Reis (exhibition organized by the Curatorship-Lab of the International Program of Masters and PhD Cultural Studies of the Portuguese Catholic University). João Biscainho’s Mirror Drumming presents a sound installation and a set of photographs which show fragments of a RF anechoic chamber. In this project room, time and space are continuously contaminated by the sound transmitted by the snare drum and the fading of the images recorded on the offset plates once exposed to light.
