Descripción de la Exposición
Galleria Matria presents Time Lapse, the first solo exhibition in Italy by Spanish photographer Xan Padrón.
Crowded streets, parallel lives, fragments of time frozen in a single image.
His photographs do not merely capture moments; they unveil the hidden rhythm of urban life, weaving destinies and fleeting instants into an endless visual sequence. Xan Padrón observes the world with a keen and silent gaze.
Through his acclaimed project Time Lapse, the artist captures urban life with a patient and contemplative approach, transforming the anonymous flow of passersby into collective portraits that reveal a city's identity.
A professional musician for over a decade before fully dedicating himself to photography, Xan Padrón translates the rhythm of the city into images, creating compositions in which each passerby becomes a note on an urban score. The connection between his musical background and his photographic research is evident in his collages, where time and space intertwine in visual harmonies.
His works not only immortalize the ephemeral but also invite viewers to reflect on their own perception of time and space. Unaware protagonists, passersby become witnesses to a collective story in which the ordinary transforms into the extraordinary.
Time Lapse invites us to slow down and observe: through Padrón's images, time ceases to be an unstoppable flow and transforms into a sequence of moments capable of revealing stories, connections, and rhythms. The public space thus becomes a stage for silent encounters, a spontaneous and universal choreography.
