Será la primera directora del Museo de Arte Contemporanea Armando Martins (MACAM), en Lisboa, impulsado por el coleccionista portugués Armando Martins y que tiene prevista su apertura en 2021. ---------------------------------------------------- N. Lisboa, 1971. Vive e trabalha em Lisboa. Licenciada em História de Arte pela Faculdade de Ciências Sociais e Humanas da Universidade Nova de Lisboa (1994) e Mestre em História Contemporânea pela mesma Instituição (1999). Concluiu ainda o Curso de Curadoria e Organização de Exposições da Escola Superior de Belas Artes de Lisboa em parceria com a Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian (2003). Iniciou funções técnicas como Especialista em Arte Contemporânea no IAC-Instituto de Arte Contemporânea, em 2001, sob a direcção de Fernando Calhau. Com a transição do IAC para IA-Instituto das Artes, passou a coordenar o Gabinete de Internacionalização. Em 2006, assumiu as funções de Subdirectora do IA. Dirigiu várias representações de Portugal às Bienais Internacionais de Artes Visuais e de Arquitectura, em Veneza e ... em São Paulo. Em 2007, assumiu o projecto de renovação da Bienal Internacional de Arte e Cultura de São Tomé e Príncipe e foi comissária-geral da 5ª (2008) e da 6ª (2011) edições. Foi docente de Curadoria no Curso de Pós-Graduação em Curadoria e Programação das Artes da Faculdade de Ciências Humanas da Universidade Católica Portuguesa, Lisboa, entre 2012 e 2015. Em 2016 recebeu uma bolsa anual da Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian, para um projecto internacional de investigação e qualificação profissional sobre Born Digital / Software based art. É curadora do Museu Nacional de Arte Contemporânea – Museu do Chiado, em Lisboa, desde 2008. Autora de projectos vários na área da curadoria e historiografia, tem obra publicada desde 1994. ---------------------------------------------------- B. Lisbon, 1971, lives and works in Lisbon. Adelaide Ginga has a degree in History of Art from the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities of the New University of Lisbon (1994) and a master’s in Contemporary History from the same institution (1999). She has also completed the Course in Curating and Exhibition Organisation at the Higher School of Fine Arts of Lisbon in partnership with the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation (2003). She began working as a specialist in contemporary art at the IAC (Institute of Contemporary Art), in 2001, under the direction of Fernando Calhau. When the IAC became the IA (Arts Institute), she was made coordinator of the Internationalisation Office. In 2006, she took on the role of deputy director of the IA. She directed several representations of Portugal in International Biennales of Visual Arts and Architecture, in Venice and São Paulo. In 2007, she took on the renovation project of the International Biennale of Art and Culture of São Tomé and Príncipe and was the general-commissioner of the 5th (2008) and 6th (2011) editions. She taught curating in the Post-Graduate Course in Curating and Arts Programming at the Faculty of Human Sciences of the Catholic University of Portugal, Lisbon, between 2012 and 2015. In 2016 she received an annual grant from the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, for an international research project and professional qualification in Born Digital / Software based art. She has been curator of the National Museum of Contemporary Art – Chiado Museum, in Lisbon, since 2008, and is the author of several projects in the field of curating and historiography. She has published work since 1994.
