Born in 1979, Buenos Aires, Argentina, Navarro lives and works in Buenos Aires. Since 2002, he has worked in a variety of mediums, including sculpture, collage, performance and installation.
Navarro studied from 2003–2005 with artist Guillermo Kuitca in the Program for the Visual Arts C.C.R.R. in Argentina. In 2006, he studied at the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture and received a UBS Art Scholarship/Individual grant Program for emerging artists.
Eduardo Navarro inserts himself in legal, spiritual, scientific, medical, archaeological environments and draws on a series of discussions and exchanges within these groups and in their context. In a video he created for the Americas Society exhibition, "From Confrontation to Intimacy," in 2007 at the Americas Society in New York, he 'infiltrated' a group of New Age Street performers.
Navarro's projects are wide in range. At the launch of a five-month pedagogical program in concert with the 9th Bienal do Mercosul, Eduardo Navarro...sent a telepathic message from his home in Buenos Aires to those willing to receive it whom had attended a lecture on curiosity at the Bienal.
Eduardo Navarro's main solo exhibitions include: Órbita, UTDT (2013); and Estudio Jurídico Mercosur, Faena Arts Center (2012), both in Buenos Aires, and Octopia at the Museo Tamayo, Mexico City (2016).
His work has appeared in exhibitions including Surround Audience, New Museum Triennial, New York; The Past, The Present, The Possible, Sharjah Biennial and took part in the group show “La Era Metabólica” at Malba Museum of Contemporary Art in Buenos Aires (the three 2015).; We, the outsiders, e-flux, New York; Ir para Volver, Cuenca Biennial, Ecuador (both 2014); Weather Permission, Mercosur Biennial (2013); There is always a cup of sea to sail in, São Paulo Biennial (2010); and Screaming and Hearing, Mercosul Biennial (2009).
