Enrique Sobejano es Arquitecto titulado por la Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de Madrid (ETSAM) y Master of Science in Building Design por la Graduate School of Architecture and Planning (GSAPP), Universidad de Columbia de Nueva York (USA). En la actualidad es catedrático de proyectos en la Universität der Künste (UdK) de Berlín (Alemania). Ha sido profesor invitado y conferenciante en diversas universidades e instituciones dentro y fuera de España. Desde 1986 a 1991 fue co-director de la revista ARQUITECTURA, editada por del Colegio Oficial de Arquitectos de Madrid. Preside y participa en conferencias y jurados internacionales. Junto con Fuensanta Nieto, es socio fundador del estudio Nieto Sobejano Arquitectos. Nieto Sobejano Arquitectos fue fundado en 1985 por Enrique Sobejano y Fuensanta Nieto, y tiene oficinas en Madrid y en Berlín. La obra de Nieto Sobejano ha sido publicada en numerosas revistas y libros españoles e internacionales y ha sido expuesta, entre otros ... lugares, en la Bienal de Venecia (2000, 2002, 2006 y 2012), el Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) de Nueva York (2006), el Kunsthaus en Graz (2008) y en la Fundación MAST de Bolonia (2014). Han recibido el PREMIO NACIONAL DE CONSERVACIÓN Y RESTAURACIÓN DE BIENES CULTURALES DEL MINISTERIO DE CULTURA (2007), EL PREMIO NIKE DE LA BDA (BUND DEUTSCHER ARCHITEKTEN) (2010), EL PREMIO AGA KHAN DE ARQUITECTURA (2010), EL PREMIO PIRANESI PRIX DE ROME (2011), EL PREMIO MUSEO EUROPEO DEL AÑO (2012), EL PREMIO HANNES MEYER (2012), MIEMBROS HONORARIOS DEL AMERICAN INSTITUTE OF ARCHITECTS (AIA) Y LA MEDALLA ALVAR AALTO (2015). Sus principales obras incluyen el Museo Madinat al Zahra, el Museo de Moritzburg, el Museo de San Telmo, el Palacio de Congresos de Zaragoza, la ampliación del Museo Joanneum en Graz y el Centro de Arte Contemporáneo en Córdoba. Nieto Sobejano Arquitectos actualmente tiene proyectos en Alemania, España, Austria, Estonia, Marruecos, China y Reino Unido. Dos monografías sobre su obra han sido recientemente publicadas: "Nieto Sobejano. Memory and Invention" (Hatje Cantz Verlag, Ostfildern, Alemania, 2013) y "Fuensanta Nieto, Enrique Sobejano. Architetture" (Mondadori Electa Spa, Milano, Italia, 2014). Enrique Sobejano (born 1957 in Madrid, Spain,) has worked as an architect since graduating from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and the Graduate School of Architecture and Planning at Columbia University in New York in 1981. He is professor at Berlin University of the Arts, where he holds the chair of Principles of Design. He has been a visiting critic and lecturer at various international universities worldwide. From 1986 to 1991 he was co-director of the architectural journal ARQUITECTURA, published by the Colegio Oficial de Arquitectos de Madrid. He chairs and participates in international conferences and juries and is a founding partner of Nieto Sobejano Arquitectos. Nieto Sobejano Arquitectos was founded in 1985 by Fuensanta Nieto and Enrique Sobejano and has offices in Madrid and in Berlin. Along with being widely published in international magazines and books, the firm’s work has been exhibited at the Biennale di Venezia in 2000, 2002, 2006 and 2012; at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), New York in 2006; at the Kunsthaus in Graz in 2008 and at the MAST Foundation in Bologna, Italy in 2014. They are the recipients of the 2008 National Prize for Restoration from the Spanish Ministry of Culture and the 2010 Nike Prize issued by the Bund Deutscher Architekten (BDA), as well as the Aga Khan Award for Architecture in 2010, the Piranesi Prix de Rome in 2011, the European Museum of the Year Award and the Hannes Meyer Prize (2012) and the Alvar Aalto Medal (2015). Their major works include the Madinat al-Zahra Museum, the Moritzburg Museum, the San Telmo Museum, the Joanneum extension in Graz, and the Contemporary Art Centre in Córdoba. Two monographs have been recently published about their work: "Nieto Sobejano. Memory and Invention" (Hatje Cantz Verlag, Ostfildern, Germany, 2013) and "Fuensanta Nieto, Enrique Sobejano.
