Irene Panagopoulos ha construido una colección de arte contemporáneo internacional y griego. Irene Panagopoulos (Greece) is a collector of contemporary art with a focus on the Mediterranean, women artists and book arts. She was born in London and studied art in the United States.
She lives in Greece where she is the CEO of Magna Marine Inc. a dry bulk shipping company. She is patron to a select number of arts organizations such as the British Museum (CaMMEA)and Whitechapel Commissioning Council. She is an active member of the Tate International Council, Trustee of Dia Art Foundation (New York, USA) and Trustee of Mills College (California, USA). Irene has supported projects by emerging artists at...international venues such as Venice Biennale and Documenta. Works from her collection have been shown in major museums. In Greece she is member of the Cycladic Museum Contemporary Art Council. Recently she joined the Honor Committee of ‘We Dream Under The Same Sky’ arts for refugees charity in support of the displacement of populations.
