Laura Quiñonez was born in Bogota. After obtaining a Bachelors Degree in Graphic Design (2008, Universidad Nacional de Colombia) she moved to France where she graduated from the École Nationale Supérieure de la Photographie of Arles in 2014. Her work has been displayed in France, Japan, China and Colombia, especially at the Rencontres d’Arles, the Museum of Modern Art of Bogota (MAMBO) and the Kyotographie’s KG+ Festival. Her photographic work is complemented by a practice in drawing and editorial design. One of the main axes of her work is the link between geography and identities, considering notions as territory and colonial past. She works in the management of visual archive as well. Lives between Colombia and France.
