Leandro Pisano is a curator, writer and new media producer for projects and events focused on new media, sound and technological arts. He is also specialized in ICT development strategies for rural areas. He is founder and director of Interferenze new arts festival, an event taking place in South of Italy since 2003 and frequently he is involved in projects and events on electronic art, sound art and rural territories, including Mediaterrae Vol.1 (2007), E-Artquake (2010), Barsento Mediascape (2013) and Liminaria (2014-16). He conducted presentations, conferences and workshops in different universities or during events related with new media aesthetics, design, sound and sustainability in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Peru, Uruguay, China, Korea, Japan, India, Iceland, USA, Finland, Germany, Great Britain, Norway, Portugal, Sweden, Turkey. He is a columnist for Blow-Up magazine, and has contributed to Corriere della Sera (La Lettura), Neural, Doppiozero, Textura.org, Exibart and Nero magazine. Leandro Pisano holds a PhD in Cultural ... and Post-Colonial Studies from University of Naples "L’Orientale", where he is presently member of Center for Postcolonial and Gender Studies (CSPG). He received his Master degree with honors in Ancient Greek, Latin and Italian Literature from University of Naples "Federico II", where he is also Honorary Research Fellow in Didactics of Latin, focusing studies on digital philology, electronic teaching methodology and relationship between new media and classic disciplines.
