Luísa Ferreira Lisbon, 1961. Lives and works in Lisbon. She began to photograph professionally in the 80s and interrupted her daily work as a photojournalist in 1998 after having worked for 7 years in the newspaper Público and 2 years for Associated Press. She published, amongst others, the book "Azul" (2002) whose text is by Agustina Bessa-Luís. Recently exhibited "Nós"( at Galeria Pente 10, Lisbon, 2011) and participated in the exhibition "AuFéminin. Women Photographing Women" 1849-2009 ( Curated by Jorge Calado, C. C. Calouste Gulbenkian, Paris, 2009). Received the Authors Prize 2019 in Visual Arts for the Best Work in Photography with her work "branco" exhibited at Monumental Gallery (set / oct 2018). A look in wich the enchantment and the documentary sense coexist, gives us precise but open to the dream images, sensitive and singular captures of environments and moments.
