Olga U. Herrera is an art historian, curator and the author of American Interventions and Modern Art in South America (University Press of Florida, forthcoming 2017) and Toward the Preservation of a Heritage: Latin American and Latino Art in the Midwestern United States (University of Notre Dame, 2008). She is guest co-editor of the 2017 special issue of the Diálogo Journal on Contemporary Latino and Latin American art. She holds a PhD in modern and contemporary Latin American art history and theories of globalization from George Mason University. Her curatorial projects have included the exhibitions Selected Works of Sheila E. Lichacz; Malaquias Montoya: Selected Works on Paper; Giulio Nicandro Gronk; Journeys of Migration and Home is Gold. She is Director of the Washington DC of the Inter-University Program for Latino Research.
