Comisario del Migros Museum für Gegenwartskunst en Zúrich, desde 2003. Gygax fue nombrado en 2013 asesor curatorial de la feria londinense Frieze. Dr Raphael Gygax is curator at the Migros Museum für Gegenwartskunst in Zurich and curator of Frieze Projects. He holds a teaching post at the Zurich University of the Arts. Gygax is on the board of the Kunsthalle Stavanger, Norway and Primary Information, New York. His most recent curated shows include 'Maja Bajevic' (2017), 'Ian Cheng' (2016), 'Xanti Schawinsky' (2015), 'Wu Tsang', 'Teresa Margolles' (both 2014), 'Stephen G. Rhodes' (2013), 'Alex Bag' (2011), 'Une Idée, une Forme, un Être – Poésie/Politique du corporel' (2010), 'Deterioration, They Said' (2009), 'Christoph Schlingensief', 'Spartacus Chetwynd' (both 2007), 'Cory Arcangel' (2005). In 2008, together with writer Sibylle Berg, he curated the theater/art project Of those who will survive at the Schauspielhaus Zürich.
