La galería anunció su cierre para el 31 de agosto de 2017 y pasa a establecerse como espacio virtual It has been a magical thirty years. Five locations, hundreds of extraordinary exhibitions, life-long friendships, all filled with indescribable moments of passion. It is with a light heart that I have decided to close the doors of my gallery. It is exciting for me to say that the final exhibition at Sandra Gering Inc. will be a remarkable installation by Jennifer Wen Ma, opening May 11th. We have chosen to end our program with Jennifer and, as always, will support her with the enthusiasm and dedication we have held out to our community since the beginning. We hope you will come by to experience her stunning work, which will be on view through July 28th. We will shutter by August 31st, 2017. To the many artists whose impact on the art community have enhanced ... and enriched my life and left footprints on the history of our world, I thank you. It is my belief that each of you, in every capacity, has brought more to the table than can possibly be appreciated. Art is the unity of the human spirit, and our shared efforts throughout this creative and beautiful process have been its testament. I have had the privilege and good fortune to help promote this, with the contributions of so many supportive people, that I can only describe my time as a gallerist as one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life. As many of you know, I have always felt strongly that art is not confined to a few gallery walls, but is a fully lived experience, and transcendent by nature. I look ahead with renewed energy to contributing to this experience as I venture forward. With great affection, Sandra
