Descripción de la Exposición

Pedro Cera is pleased to announce its first Viewing Room with paintings by Portuguese artist Bruno Pacheco. The work of Bruno Pacheco (1974) is characterized by a specific ambiguity towards the field of representation. Despite its mostly figurative nature, his works disclose an anonymity characteristic to its subjects, may these be human figures, or random objects. The Viewing Room introduces a new group of works, painted by the artist throughout the past months. With the cowboy hat as the central motive of these works, Pacheco examines the possibilities of indirect narrativity, through the use of variation and association with other objects, lived situations or (art)historical references.
