Galeria Luisa Strina announces Pablo Accinelli's third solo show (Argentina, 1983), entitled Cae la tarde. The exhibition suggests repetition as a method of occupying the forms and waiting as a mode of thought production. A state of mind that we find in a bar, at siesta time, or when traffic is heavy, those places where signs compress into inhabitable geometries and durations, and where opinions are located at the edges of more visible activities like underlining a newspaper, breaking an object, or playing cards.
Recent individual exhibitions include: "Por aqui tudo é novo" (Inhotim, Brazil, 2016); "Técnicas Pasivas" (Galerija Gregor Podnar, Berlin, 2016); "Extension du domaine du jeu" (Nouveau Festival, Centre Pompidou, Paris, 2015); "Future Light - Escaping Transparency" (Vienna Biennial, MAK, 2015); "United States of Latin America" (MOCAD, Detroit, 2015), "No importa mi nombre" (Universidad Torcuato Di Tella, Buenos Aires, 2013); "When Attitudes Became Form Become Attitudes" (CCA Wattis, San...Francisco, 2013); 30th São Paulo Biennial (2012).
Public collections holding his work include: CACI Centro de Arte Contemporânea Inhotim, Brazil; Kadist Collection, France; MAMBA Museo de Arte Moderno de Buenos Aires, Argentina; CIFO Foundation, USA.
