The Interventions project aims to present contemporary artists in the spaces of the Lasar Segall Museum. The projects must be conceptually related to the life and work of Lasar Segall and / or the history of the museum and its architecture. Pablo Accinelli presents for Interventions XII, “Core”, a set of works that will occupy several spaces of the museum, corridors, engraving studio, library, gardens, among others, where the visitor, through a script and works, starts to explore and inhabit the museum spaces.
As the artist describes: “In response to the invitation proposal to intervene in the museum I thought of this exhibition as a guide to go through it and inhabit it // Among several titles I chose Núcleo [Core] // To say core is like saying cell, something that everything that lives has // The piece 10 cm that falls and measures different heights with padlocks, keys and clips...is from 2018 // The video Duración interna [Internal duration] that shows a shoe spinning in loop is from 2015, while the rest of the works that are scattered on walls, shelves, internal squares and rooms are in most part from 2019 // All of them mix moments of waiting, observation and practical use and make a reference dedicated to the records made in 1959 by Lygia Pape where we see forms of her Livro da Criação [Book of Creation] interacting with public life.”
