As coisas mudaram ao toque. O futuro chegou como se nunca tivesse sido imaginado, como se ontem já não tivesse chegado. O doméstico, tornou-se um pouco mais confortável, adquiriu graciosidade, libertação para os problemas dos outros. O corpo, o fluxo de diversidade em constante movimento é adormecido, revogado na meditação dos sentidos, libertado apenas por estados mediados concebidos por um ou dois ecrãs companheiros. Future Nothing explora o doméstico, o pessoal, o externo, a visualização da distância como um passo na direção da compreensão do livre arbítrio e do imediato na projecção do outro. /// Things have changed to the touch.The future arrived like it never was imagined, like yesterday wasn’t already. Dwelling was made slightly more comfortable, acquired graciousness, something of deliverance to the problems of others. The body, the flux of diversity in constant motion is put to sleep, revoked into meditation of the senses, liberated only through mediated states of attention devised by one or two companion screens. All systems pause. Future Nothing explore the domestic possibilities of landscape, visualization of distance as a step towards the understanding of free will and immediacy in the projection of otherness. BIO: Nuno Direitinho nasceu em 1981 em Lisboa onde reside. Realizou mestrado em Fine Art Media na Slade School of Art, UCL Londres (2014) e licenciatura em Fine Art Photography na Glasgow School of Art, Glasgow (2011) Algumas exposições recentes incluem: ’I’m in the bath where are you?’ - The Icing Room (2019, Londres);’In the possible event’ - Zaratan Arte Contemporânea (2019,Lisboa); ’All Things Considered’ - Shed (2018, Frauenfeld); ‘We are All Lichens Now’ - Zaratan Arte Contemporânea (2016, Lisboa); ‘Cornerstone’ - APT Gallery (2015, Londres); ‘Get in Lane’ - Catalyst Arts (2015, Belfast) e ‘Open Cube’ - White Cube (2013, Londres). /// Nuno Direitinho (1981, Lisboa) lives and works in Lisbon.
