Descripción de la Exposición
This exhibition brings attention to Cuban art as a means to discovering identity and broadening understanding of Cuban American artists beyond nation and diaspora. The art included in the exhibition presents a wide range of style, material and visual presentation currently used by contemporary Cuban-American artists living in South Florida. In particular, the exhibition highlights the discovery of shared experience through a process of assimilation and self-discovery. Such a process creates a link between creative works and lives that is personal, intimate, and expressive of the artist's need to connect with a communal past.
