Descripción de la Exposición

Sicardi | Ayers | Bacino is pleased to present Jorge Pereira: Indexical Photography between Chance and Project. This exhibition is the first solo show for Pereira at the gallery. Text written by María José Herrera accompanies the exhibition. Please join us for the opening cocktail reception on Thursday, February 22, from 6-8pm. Jose Pereira was born in La Plata, Argentina in 1936. Herrera notes, "Pereira was influenced by the abstract art and visual theories developed by the Bauhaus. He founded and participated in several groups interested in bringing art to the public sphere and urban environment." The exhibition will include a series of experimental photography that was created between 1962 and 1968.
