Descripción del Premio

The Kapsch Group and the mumok (Museum moderner Kunst Stiftung Ludwig Wien) are awarding the Kapsch Contemporary Art Prize since 2016. Its aim is to promote young artists who live and work in Austria. By means of a three-month exhibition at the mumok as well as an associated publication, talented up-and-coming artists are given the opportunity to present their work before an international audience. An international jury composed of Brigitte Huck, art historian, curator, and art critic; Susanne Titz, Director of Museum Abteiberg, Mönchengladbach; Vitus Weh, dramaturg and scenographer; Georg Kapsch, CEO of Kapsch Group; and mumok Director Karola Kraus selected the winner.
