Is a New York and São Paulo-based Independent Curator and a Ph.D. Candidate in Performance Studies at New York University, where she is a Corrigan Doctoral Fellow. Lopes focuses on the artistic production from Latin America and is currently researching the production of artists of African descent in Brazil. abiana Lopes recently held the positions of Curatorial Assistant at the Colección Patricia Phelps de Cisneros and Simon Watson Arts. Her most current exhibition projects include Lidia Lisboa: em tramas, Galeria Rabieh, São Paulo (2015), Priscila Rezende’s performance Bombril as part of the exhibition Limite Zero, Galeria Rabieh, São Paulo (2014).
