Descripción de la Organización

Emmanuel Perrotin founded his first gallery in 1989 at the age of 21. He has opened since then over 17 different spaces, with the aim of continuing to offer increasingly vibrant and creative environments to experience artists work. He has worked closely with his roster of artists, some since more than 25 years, to help fulfil their ambitious dreams and projects. Perrotin has added to his three gallery spaces in the Marais district of Paris (inaugurated in 2005 in a 18th century mansion house, and in 2007 extended to a White Cube next door), a new Paris showroom of 700 m2, known as la Salle de Bal, which is up the street and in a former Ballroom at the Hôtel d’Ecquevilly called “du Grand Veneur”, a 17th century Hôtel Particulier, opened in 2014. In total, the Parisian spaces are now approx. 2000 sq. meters. In May 2012 Perrotin opened the Hong Kong gallery on the 17th floor of 50 Connaught Road Central (650m2), which overlooks Victoria Harbour Bay, and in September 2013, the gallery in New York was added to his roster, at 909 Madison Avenue in the former1932 Bank of New York building, a historic landmark on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. In 2016, Perrotin inaugurated a 180m2 new gallery in Seoul that includes a bookshop displaying unique editions & books published by the gallery. Located on the ground floor of the same building as Christie’s office at 5 Palpan-gil, Jongno-gu district, the heart of the galleries & museums area, it is nearby the National Museum of Modern & Contemporary Art and Daelim Museum, in front of the Blue House/President’s residence and the Gyeongbok Palace. Since 2013, Perrotin New York has been housed in a historic building on the Upper East Side’s iconic Madison Avenue. After three successful years there, Perrotin relocated at 130 Orchard Street in April 2017 and expanded to a 25,000 sq. foot (2,300 sq. meters) space in New York City’s most dynamic arts neighborhood, the Lower East Side. In June 2017, Perrotin opens a new gallery in Tokyo on the ground floor of the Piramide building at 6-6-9 Roppongi Minato-ku Tokyo, in the heart of Roppongi area, a cultural and vibrant neighborhood which gathers a large number of Museums such as Mori Art Museum, Suntory Museum of Art, National Art Center (Art Triangle Roppongi), and many well established Galleries. Perrotin participates in all the significant worldwide art fairs each year: Art Basel (Hong Kong, Miami, Basel), Frieze (London, New York), FIAC (Paris), Dallas Art Fair, Art Cologne, Art Stage Jakarta, Expo Chicago, Art021 & West Bund Art & Design, Shanghai, Zona Maco Mexico, amongst others.
