Descripción de la Exposición

With a production that explores different points of life's ephemerality and the stories that compose it, Albano Afonso proposes a reflection on existence: among many, in himself and in the world. Working perceptions of light and shadow, from the factual to the abstract, the artist mixes references from antique and contemporary world, using images already known to create new narratives from the history of art, performing a counterpoint with contemporary culture. His work remote to the Vanitas genre - shows us the transcendence and, sometimes, futility of life and the certainty of death - stimulating a reflection and allowing the viewer to flow athwart and through the artist's works.
