Cooking Sections es una práctica de investigación que cocina mapas comestibles de arquitecturas, límites urbanísticos, acontecimientos, edificios, y demás anomalías territoriales. Con base en Londres, Daniel Fernández Pascual y Alon Schwabem crean nuevos métodos de mapeo e interacción con distintos espacios, siguiendo su trayectoria de performances geopolíticas, que han tenido lugar en Storefront for Art and Architecture Nueva York, Institut Für Raumexperimente Berlin, dOCUMENTA(13), TEDx Talks Madrid, Halle14 Leipzig, Bat Yam Biennial of Landscape Urbanism Tel Aviv, Trienal de Arquitectura de Lisboa, Centro Cultural España en México, The Bartlett y Fiorucci Art Trust. Han formado parte de la residencia de artistas The Politics of Food en Delfina Foundation, Londres. Cooking Sections is a duo formed by Daniel Fernández Pascual (born in Burgos, Spain in 1984) and Alon Schwabem (born in ... Tel Aviv, Israel in 1984), who are based in London. The project arose from the artists' intention to focus on food distribution systems on a global level. They make use of installations, performances, maps and video to advance their research, including visual art, architecture, and geopolitical sciences in their artistic practice. Cooking Sections was part of the exhibition at the U.S. Pavilion, 2014 Venice Architecture Biennale. Their work has also been exhibited at the Neue Nationalgalerie Berlin; Storefront for Art & Architecture New York; dOCUMENTA(13); Peggy Guggenheim Collection; CA2M, Madrid; The New Institute, Rotterdam; UTS, Sydney; ETSA Madrid; ACC Weimar; HKW Berlin; Akademie der Künste, Berlin; Glasgow International; UTS Sydney; 2014 Biennale INTERIEUR Kortrijk; 2016 Oslo Architecture Triennale and 2016 Brussels ParckDesign; and have been residents in The Politics of Food at Delfina Foundation, London. Their work has been featured in a number of international publications (Lars Müller, Sternberg Press, Volume, Frieze Magazine amongst others). In August 2016 they opened The Empire Remains Shop, a platform to speculate on selling the remains of the British Empire back in London today.
