A través del estudio ha desarrollado una gran variedad de proyectos en diversos países como Suiza, Italia, Francia, España, Portugal, Estados Unidos, Senegal, México, Taiwán, entre otros, en los que se encuentran intervenciones arquitectónicas, artísticas, urbanas, de paisaje, creación de objetos, diseño expositivo, escenografías y vestuario en los cuales investiga y experimenta con nuevas maneras de relacionar espacio, individuo y sociedad. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- studio patricia meneses is a space where young architects reflect, promote, research and act in different fields of contemporary expression. An open space producing a series of initiatives and projects focused on the stimulation and diffusion of new approaches to the configuration and restructuring of contemporary culture. Patricia graduated in 2004 from the School of Architecture ETSABarcelona, she began her studies in the Faculty of Architecture in San Luis Potosí, México, after three years developing first projects, she worked in the promotion of the arts in the Institute of Fine ... Arts of San Luis Potosí, Mexico, continued her experience in Barcelona working with different architects, studied Contemporary Art Analysis, Literature and Cinema Analysis, Phylosophy and History in the Centre of Contemporary Culture of Barcelona. Studio Patricia Meneses was founded in the city of Barcelona in 2009, Patricia, after creating ex.studio in 2004, continues her development with her new firm. Her projects explore the relationship between art and function; integrating the disciplines of architecture, design, sculpture and installation. The studio has developed a wide variety of projects, interventions and exhibitions, in which they investigate and experiment with new ways of relating space with society. Patricia Meneses has participated in many artistic events including: Barcelona Arte Contemporáneo (2002); Okuparte, Art and city (2004); and Luogo:Comune, in Casale Marittimo, Tuscany, Italy (2005), Art in Town, Tambacounda, Senegal, organized by the Center of Contemporary Culture of Geneva (2005), Bilbao Jardin 07, City of Bilbao, Giving Shelter, 516 Arts Gallery, Albuquerque, New Mexico, Lausanne Jardins 09, Switzerland, 2010 Taipei Horticulture and Flower Exhibition, Taiwan among others. She has realised numerous site specific interventions such as El retorno de Ulises in Santorini, Greece; El velo de la Novia in the convent of La Tourette, France; Arquitecturas Nido in the cloister of the Saint Agustí Convent in Barcelona; Lost in Paradise in the Umbracle of the Ciutadella Park, Barcelona; Dream House in the city of Huesca, Spain; Tambabox in Tambacounda, Senegal; Nest Architectures, Navacerrada, Spain, Flow in the city of Bilbao, Landscape Observatories, San Michele de Ganzaria, Sicily; Nest Passages, MNAC Foundation, Cádiz, Spain; Urban Refuges, Reactivate!! Espai d’art Contemporani de Castelló together with the Swiss Architecture Museum; Green Tower, Lausanne, Switzerland and Silent Garden in Taipei. The studio has participated in biennials including the European Landscape Biennial, Barcelona (2006, 2008), Spain in the International Design Biennial in Saint-Etienne, France. In the editions 2004 New Spanish Designers, 2006 Cohabitations, 2008 Light Wall , as in the itinerary exhibition Young Creators of Architecture organizad by the National Found for Culture and Arts FONCA, Mexico. Their projects have been exhibited in the Royal Institute for British Architects (RIBA) London, in the Espai Picasso, COAC, Barcelona, in the Culture House in Navacerrada (Madrid), in the Colegio de Arquitectos of Olot, Spain, at the Círculo de Bellas Artes, Madrid, in the Palau de la Música of Valencia, in the Green Space of Valencia, in the Teatro de la Paz of the city of San Luis Postosí, Mexico, in the Colegio de Arquitectos de Cataluña, Barcelona, in 516 Arts Gallery, Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA, in the exhibition space Flon, Lausanne, Switzerland, in the Cultural Center el Matadero, Huesca, Spain, in the Deutsche Messe, Hannover, Germany and at The Architects League of New York, Arkitekternes Hus, Copenhagen, Denmark, among others. Patricia has given lectures at the Royal Institute of British Architects RIBA; at the School of Architecture, University of Westminster, London; at the Instituto Europeo di Design, Barcelona; at the School of Architecture, Universidad Iberoamericana of León, Guanajuato, Mexico; at the Faculty of Architecture of the Universidad Autónoma of San Luis Potosí, Mexico; at the Universidad of Alcalá de Henares, Madrid; at the School of Architecture of the Universidad Internacional de Cataluña, Barcelona; at The Architects League of New York; at the Architekturzentrum Vienna, Austria; at the Cittadella dei Musei, Facoltà di Lettere e Filosofia, Università di Cagliari, Sardinia, Italy; at ENSCI École Nationale Supérieure de Création Industrielle, Paris, France; at the MAC Museum of Contemporary Art of San Luis Potosí, México; at the Nuevos Ministerios Gallery, Madrid, Spain; at the Congress Landscape Valencia in the Architects Association of Valencia and at the Danish Architect Association Arkitektforening, Copenhaguen Denmark. 2011 Selected with the project Nature Poems to develop a landscape intervention in the Alps “Sentier arte natura”, Queyras, France and Pontechianale, Italy. 2010 Design Vanguard Prize, selected among the TEN World Young Architects of the year by Architectural Record, New York. Selected with the Project Silent Garden to participate in the 2010 Taipei Horticulture and Gardening Exhibition, Taiwan. 2009 Obtains the prize Young Architects Forum given by The Architects League of New York Obtains the Special Award, New Generation for the project Travelling Showroom Portugal, at the Contract World Award, Hannover, Germany. 2008 Obtains the Second Prize for the Project Green Tower in the Contest of Landscape Interventions on the Urban Space, Lausanne Jardins 09, Switzerland. Obtains the Honourable Mention for the Project Landscape Observatories at the International Prize Lanscape Desing and Protection, Torsanlorenzo, Rome, Italy. Selected for the Project of Intervention RAIN as finalists on the Prize Lamp Lighting Solutions, Barcelona, Spain. 2007 Obtains the ex-aequo Prize in Young Architects Prize AJAC, given by the Colegio de Arquitectos de Cataluña, Barcelona. Obtains the third prize with the Project Chateau d’eau, in the Contest of Ideas for the Elevated Water Deposit for PLHUS, Huesca, Spain. Selected to participate in the Project of Interventions on the Urban Lanscape, International Contest Bilbao Jardín, Spain. Obtains the First Prize for the Intervention Lighting Lines for the cover of the Center Rivas Futura, Madrid. Obtains a Special Mention with the project Forest Refuge in the National Design Contest Valencia Crea, Spain. 2006 Receives the Accesit in the National Prize of Young Creation, Injuve, Madrid, Spain. Wins the first prize in the Artistic Intervention competition on the public space in Navacerrada, Madrid, Spain. Obtains a Special Mention in the International Contest of Ideas, Waiting Spaces, given by the Domus Academy, Milan. Italy. 2005 Gains two honourable mentions in the AR Awards for Emerging Architecture. Selected to participate in Transforma, intervention project in the cultural heritage of Malaga, Spain. Invited to participate in the project Pneumatic Place, public installation project using pneumatic structures to be shown in Heldenplatz, Vienna. First Prize in an invited competition to carry out the artistic direction and spatial design for the project Montjuic in five acts, integrating ephemeral architecture with artistic interventions in the Olympic Arena of Montjuic, Barcelona. Granted by the Copec (Catalan Consortium for the External Promotion of Culture). 2004 Second place in an invited competition to design the traveling exhibition space for the regional government of Galicia, to be shown in 10 cities in Spain and France. Selected by the director of the Centre for Contemporary Art, Geneva, to participate in the project Art in Town in Senegal. 2003 Collaborated in Zürich with the architect Daniel Kündig, founder of the architecture studio UCN´A, developing interventions related to architecture, art and landscape in the Swiss Alps. Patricia has realized multiple works and architectonic projects among the most remarkable are: In 2005 realization of the gastronomic temporary space El Bulli, in Monjuic, Barcelona. From the year 2004 has realized diverse projects of housing restoration in the Old Town of Barcelona, Eixample, Gracia, in the volcanic area of Garrotxa, Catalonia, Spain and in the Historic Center of San Luis Potosí, México. In 2004 realized the project Body and Mind Laboratory, proposal for a Laboratory of Art and Technology focused to the relation of the body and space in the Roman Amphitheatre of Windisch, Switzerland. In 2006, with the support of the Institut Ramon Llull, realized the exhibition of the project of research and proposals for an itinerary Museum between the ports of Barcelona and Veracruz, Mexico, reusing a cargo ship. In 2010 the Spanish Pavilion and landscape intervention called Silent Garden 2010 Taipei Expo in the surroundings of Taipei Fine Art Museum. Among many others. She has done diverse projects for exhibition spaces in museums and galleries in Spain, Portugal, Germany, France, USA, Italy and Mexico. Among the most remarkable, the Stand for Tourism of Catalonia, Tourism of Galicia, Olympus, Cemex for Construmat, stands for B&B in Barcelona and Berlin, showrooms for fashion designers in Portugal and Spain, stand for the Universities for the Government of Catalonia in Madrid, Kansas City, Nantes, and Copenhaguen and the Design of the exhibition for the Homage to Siqueiros, in the Museo del Crudo, San Sperate, Sardinia, Italy. Her projects have been published in architecture, design and art publications such as Architectural Review (London), XS Green (London), Domus (Italy), Metalocus (Madrid), Experimenta (Madrid), Mark Another Architecture (Amsterdam), Diseño Interior (Madrid), Plan Magazine (Ireland), Visions (Barcelona), BoB Magazine (Korea), Traço (Portugal), MICRO (London), Natural Architecture (Milan, Paris, NY), Conversions (London), AD (London), Volume (Amsterdam), El País Semanal (Spain), Proyecto Contract (Spain), Entremuros Reforma Journal (México), B-guided (Barcelona), Calle 20 (Spain), La Repubblica Journal (Italy), La Vanguardia (Spain), Traçes (Switzerland), Detail (Spain), 24 heures (Switzerland), Paisea (Spain), Spade (Japan), Architectural Record, (New York, USA) among others.
