Celia Prado nace en Vigo, en 1956, y reside y trabaja en Estocolmo (Suecia) desde 1978. Directora artística del Konstnärshuset /SKF, desde mayo de 2013. Es escritora y comisaria, a la vez que produce y gestiona exposiciones nacionales/ internacionales en el ámbito de la imagen-movimiento y arte contemporáneo o dirige actividades culturales relacionadas con ese campo. Le han sido asignadas distintas, e importantes, responsabilidades en entidades nacionales suecas y nórdicas dentro de esa disciplina, entre otras, el Consejo Escandinavo de las Artes (The Nordic Art Found), en el que desempeña labores de experta en la actualidad. Fue una de los cofundadores y comisaria-jefe de Tensta Konsthall, (Estocolmo), primera comisaria de arte contemporáneo en el Museo Nacional de Antigüedades (Estocolmo), comisaria en The Swedish Traveling Exhibitions de Suecia, co-comisaria de La 5ª Bienal Internacional de Arte en Gotemburgo (Suecia), en 2009, y del 51º Salón de Octubre de Belgrado (Serbia), en 2010. ... Ha comisariado una amplia gama de exposiciones entre cuyos artistas se encuentran, entre otros, Kutlug Ataman, Candize Breitz, Chris Cunningham, Amar Kanwar, Eva Koch, Rosa Barba, Susan Hiller, Tracey Moffatt, Shirin Neshat, Diana Thater, Salla Tykkä.
