Descripción de la Exposición

Beginning in the 1960s, artists increasingly turned to news media—both printed and televised—as a rich source of inspiration. Breaking News presents work by artists who have employed appropriation, juxtaposition, and mimicry, among other means, to create photographs and videos that effectively comment on the role of the news media in determining the meaning of images.
