Nader Museum is pleased to announce the exhibition Women in Latin American Art as we celebrate Women's History Month. Women in Latin American Art features the work of nineteen Latin American artists from nine different countries from the Nader Museum permanent collection and loans from other institutions. This historical and unprecedented show of Modern and Contemporary women organized by the Nader Museum reunited the body of work of female artists that have dynamically shaped the image of the modern and contemporary art through their brave and innovative artistic surveys each of them confronting a distinct socio-political situation. The work of these remarkable artists validates their strength and individuals’ styles allowing us to experience their struggles through their art and opening a possibility of further contrasts and types of interpretations of aesthetic values. Women in Latin American Art includes works by Soraya Abu Naba‘a, Martha Boto, Tania Bruguera, Leonora Carrington, Lygia Clark, Miriam Costanza, Olga De Amaral, Eliane Duarte,GEGO, Carmen Herrera, Frida, Kahlo, Beatriz Milhazes, Amelia Peláez, Betsabee Romero, Doris Salcedo, Olga Sinclair, Lolo Soldevilla, Adriana Varejão, and Remedios Varo.
